Composed of silicon and carbon (C), moissanite is reproduced in the laboratory. Originally discovered in 1893 in the Canyon Diablo meteorite that fell approximately 50,000 years ago in Arizona, United States, it is the origin of Meteor Crater.

 Moissanite shines on average more than diamond thanks to its refractive index of 2.65 to 2.69, compared to 2.417 to 2.419 for diamond. This means that it reflects light more, provided you compare two similar stones in terms of color, cut and size. This dazzling stone has a hardness of 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamonds. This ensures the durability of your jewelry for years to come.
